Filmhouse Takes The Hunger Games Challenge to Lagos

Twenty participants will enter the hunt, but only 10 will make it to the final stage. For those taking part in the Tribute Hunt Games, getting started is only half the battle.

Filmhouse Cinemas is bringing the competition inspired experience to Lagos on Saturday 14th November, ahead of the release of The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping in cinemas on 20 November.

The activation will begin at Filmhouse Palms before moving to Lekki IMAX, with 20 participants taking on a series of challenges inspired by the world of The Hunger Games. Participants will have opportunities to win smaller prizes throughout the hunt, while the 10 who advance to the final stage will compete for the grand prize of an iPhone 18 Pro.

Titled The Biggest Hunt of the Season, the experience draws on the franchise's themes of competition, survival and strategy, putting participants at the centre of the action rather than leaving them to watch from the sidelines.

The format is simple: participants must take on the challenges, make it through the initial stages and earn their place among the finalists. With half of the original group progressing to the final stage, every challenge will count towards getting closer to the prize.

Beyond the competition, the Tribute Hunt Games reflects how entertainment franchises are finding new ways to engage their audiences. By translating a familiar fictional world into a live experience, Filmhouse is giving fans an opportunity to participate in the excitement surrounding an upcoming cinema release.

The timing is particularly fitting. Taking place six days before The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping opens in cinemas, the activation gives fans something to look forward to as anticipation builds around the next chapter of the franchise.

With 20 Tributes entering, prizes to be won along the way and one grand prize waiting at the end, the question is no longer just who would volunteer as tribute, but who has what it takes to make it through the hunt.
