MaliyoCON Expands to Three Lagos Days for Studios, Investors and Players

Nigeria’s games industry has a three-day Lagos gathering to plan for. Maliyo Games has scheduled MaliyoCON 2 for 10–12 December 2026, with separate experiences for developers, investors and the wider gaming community.

The programme opens with MaliyoCON on 10 December, covering AI, game development, publishing and showcases. MaliyoVEST follows on 11 December with studio pitches and investor conversations. MaliyoFEST on 12 December brings gaming competitions together with music, food and community activities.

Free registration still needs approval

The official registration form says general admission is free, but attendance must be confirmed and approved by the organisers. Submitting a form is not a guaranteed place.

Maliyo also advertises Fast Track, VIP and VVIP options at ₦10,000, ₦50,000 and ₦150,000. Check the benefits and final checkout terms before paying; access to every activity should not be assumed. The specific Lagos venue is yet to be announced.

For Nigerian studios, the useful distinction is between showing a game, learning from peers and seeking investment. A pitch opportunity is not a funding award. Prepare a playable build and a clear explanation of the project, then confirm the organiser’s participation requirements.

The programme also puts a Nigerian studio in the convening role: bringing games, business and players together in Lagos, rather than treating Africa only as an audience for overseas releases.
