Splatoon Raiders Leads Nintendo Switch 2's July 23 Release Wave

Nintendo Switch 2 players get two notable releases on Thursday, 23 July: Splatoon Raiders and Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster.

Splatoon Raiders is a new single-player-focused entry set on the Spirhalite Islands. Players take the role of a mechanic, use gadgets and ink-based weapons, and fight waves of Salmonids while searching for treasure. It is a different proposition from Splatoon's familiar competitive matches, which makes it useful for players who prefer a solo campaign or want more time with the series away from online lobbies.

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster brings two connected role-playing games to Switch 2. The collection follows Tidus and Yuna across Final Fantasy X and its sequel, offering a much longer story-led option than the week's faster arcade and multiplayer releases.

What Nigerian buyers should check

Nintendo's announcement confirms the games and release date for its UK market. Nigerian buyers should still confirm availability and price in the eShop region attached to their account. A UK, US or other regional account can show different pricing, payment options and release timing.

Players buying physical copies through Nigerian sellers should ask whether the listing is in stock or a preorder, confirm the delivery estimate and check that the edition is made for Nintendo Switch 2. Sellers should label imported stock and expected arrival dates clearly instead of presenting an overseas launch date as a guaranteed same-day Nigerian delivery.

Storage is another practical consideration. Check each product page for the final download size and whether a physical edition still requires an update. Anyone downloading over mobile data should plan the installation before purchase rather than discovering a large patch after payment.

For game cafes and shared-console spaces, Splatoon Raiders can add a colourful solo title to a family-friendly library, while Final Fantasy X/X-2 suits longer bookings and returning RPG fans. Operators should keep individual save data separated between customer profiles.

Nintendo says the dates in its July schedule were accurate when published, but release details can change. Confirm the relevant store page before paying.
