PS Plus Adds Mafia and Horizon

PlayStation Plus’s October Game Catalog refresh starts on 20 October, led by Mafia: The Old Country and Mycopunk on PS5, alongside Horizon Forbidden West on PS4 and PS5. For Nigerian subscribers, the important distinction is membership tier: this is the Extra and Premium catalogue, not the Essential monthly-game selection.

Sony says the lineup can differ by region. Check the PlayStation Store attached to your account before renewing or starting a large download; an announcement does not establish availability for every Nigerian player’s account.

Not every game arrives together

Poppy Playtime: Chapter 2, Tales of Arise—Beyond the Dawn Edition and Monster Energy Supercross 25 are dated 27 October for the US, UK and Japan. Do not treat them as confirmed 20 October downloads in those regions.

The Midnight Walk has an earlier date: 14 October in the US and UK, and 15 October in Japan. It supports ordinary PS5 play as well as PS VR2. Premium’s additions include Dino Crisis 2 and RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Complete Edition.

Before paying, choose the game you actually intend to play, check its tier and regional listing, then compare the subscription and data costs. Catalogue access is not permanent ownership, and PlayStation Plus carries a recurring charge until cancelled.

A new lineup can be useful without becoming a reason to buy everything around it. Check your existing membership and storage first, especially if you share a console or use a metered connection.
