Nigeria’s Inuv8 Studios Adds Xbox to Its Global Console Plans

Inuv8 Studios, an independent game developer based in Ile-Ife, Osun State, has added Xbox to its ambitions for Project OVERRIDE. In a 21 September announcement, the Nigerian studio said it is now an ID@Xbox partner and is working towards bringing the science-fiction action adventure to Xbox alongside its plans for PC and PlayStation.

The announcement extends the studio’s earlier PlayStation partnership news. It is a platform-development milestone, not a release announcement: Inuv8 has not given a launch date, final console list, price or Xbox Game Pass commitment for Project OVERRIDE. Players should not treat partner status as confirmation that a finished game is already available.

Project OVERRIDE also has a Steam page, which lists Inuv8 as both developer and publisher. Players control an experimental construct in a ruined world governed by an artificial intelligence, combining close-range combat, exploration and encounters with hostile machines. Its release date remains unannounced; interested PC players can wishlist it.

For Nigerian developers, the significance is concrete: a named studio in Osun State is pursuing routes to worldwide PC and console audiences while retaining Nigerian ownership of its project. For players in Nigeria and the diaspora, the next useful milestones are playable builds, platform confirmations and a release window—not assumptions about funding or sales.

This coverage brings together the studio’s PlayStation announcement and its subsequent Xbox development. Neither announcement discloses investment amounts, exclusivity terms or guaranteed commercial results.
