Imo-Japan Game Creator Contest Opens to Nigerian Developers

A new Nigeria-Japan game development opportunity is accepting entries from Nigerian creators. The Imo State x Japan Game Creator Development Program is open to original mobile, PC and browser games made by Nigerian applicants aged 18 and above.

The official contest portal lists a total prize pool of JPY 1,000,000: JPY 500,000 for first place, JPY 300,000 for second and JPY 200,000 for third. Submissions opened on 23 June and close on 31 August 2026. Judging begins in September, with results scheduled for 30 September.
