Xbox Raises Console Prices Worldwide as Nigerian Buyers Face Higher Import Costs
Xbox console prices increased worldwide on 1 August 2026, a change likely to flow through to Nigerian importers and retailers.
Microsoft says the recommended price rose by US$100 for 512GB models and US$150 for 1TB models. The 2TB model has been discontinued. Certified-refurbished consoles can be listed at up to US$100 below the new recommended price, depending on market and stock.
There is no single official naira price because Nigerian retail costs also reflect exchange rates, shipping, duties, warranty coverage and seller margins. Buyers should compare the final landed price, confirm the exact storage model and insist on a clear warranty before paying. A cheaper listing is not automatically better if it lacks after-sales support.
