The Witcher 3 Remastered Is Out; Songs of the Past Planned for 2027

Updated 4 October 2026: This page first appeared on 31 August as a preview of the planned 29 September release. CD PROJEKT RED confirmed on 29 September that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered is available. The date above is the original publication date; this is an update, not a NairaGame hands-on review.

The publisher describes Remastered as a free upgrade for owners of The Witcher 3 on supported platforms. Its release notice lists GOG, Steam, Epic Games Store, Battle.net, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2. It says the update includes the earlier Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine expansions, plus changes to visuals, performance and gameplay. The original upgrade announcement explains the route for players who own the Nintendo Switch version and move to Switch 2.

What Nigerian players should check

Open the store or library tied to your existing copy and confirm the upgrade offer for your account and platform before buying another edition. Check available storage and the actual download size shown by your store, then compare it with your data allowance and connection. The publisher's announcements do not establish a Nigerian retail price or local support terms.

The new Songs of the Past expansion is separately announced for 2027. Do not confuse it with the two older expansions included in Remastered; the official announcements cited here do not specify its purchase terms.
