Soccerstica Opens 64-Player Port Harcourt Esports Championship With ₦10m Prize Pool

A major football-gaming tournament is recruiting players in Port Harcourt. Soccerstica says its Nigeria Esports Championship 2026 will put 64 competitors into a PlayStation 5 knockout competition from 1 September 2026.

The organiser lists a ₦10 million total prize pool and ₦2 million for the champion. Entry costs ₦10,000, and the registration counter showed 15 of 64 places filled when NairaGame rechecked on 10 August. The competition is open to men and women and is expected to run for roughly seven to 10 days.

This matters beyond Rivers State. A properly run 64-player event can create work for local casters, photographers, streamers, referees, console technicians and vendors. It also gives players outside Lagos another route into an organised live competition.

Entrants should confirm the final rulebook before paying or travelling. The event page uses both EA SPORTS FC and eFootball language, so players need written confirmation of the exact title, squads, controller rules, fixture times, venue access and refund policy. Soccerstica lists TikTok, YouTube, Twitch, Kick and Instagram for coverage.
