Pokemon TCG Pocket's Ruler of the Skies Expansion Is Live: What Changed

Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket's Ruler of the Skies expansion is now live on Android and iOS, bringing Mega Rayquaza ex into the mobile card game.

The Pokemon Company scheduled the release for July 29 at 6:00 p.m. Pacific time. For players in Nigeria, that converted to 2:00 a.m. on July 30, so the expansion should now be visible after the latest app and in-game data updates are installed.

Ruler of the Skies is more than a new booster set. Players can now share decks with other people through 2D pattern codes. Cards that appear in more than one booster pack will also be registered across the relevant card-dex entries, including eligible cards already owned.

A further change affects pack opening. When certain conditions are met, the next pack opened from the same expansion will guarantee a four-diamond or higher card. The exact conditions should be checked in the in-game news rather than guessed from community screenshots.

Mega Rayquaza covers and backdrops arrive on August 1. New elite-deck gift missions are also planned from late July to late October, with a Fighting-type deck featuring Mega Lucario ex and Hitmonchan ex among the announced rewards.

Nigerian players should update over Wi-Fi where possible and confirm the download size before using mobile data. Spending is optional: check the naira cost shown through the Google Play or Apple account attached to the device, and avoid third-party sellers asking for account passwords.

For local creators and card-game communities, the useful early content is practical: explain the deck-code feature, test the pack guarantee with clear evidence and separate official card information from leaks.
