Kartrider Rush+ launches its Galaxy update
Nexon has launched Season 41: Galaxy, bringing a new space-themed chapter to its popular mobile racing game. The update went live on September 17 and adds new karts, racers, pets, tracks, events and improvements to the game's interface.
The Galaxy update is now available on iOS and Android, giving players a new set of content to explore as the game enters its 41st season.
New Space-Themed Karts Take the Spotlight
The biggest additions are several new karts designed around the Galaxy theme.
Two highlight karts, Artemyzer Nova and Artemyzer Solar, headline the update. Players can also collect the Galaxy Marathon Speed kart alongside new Item karts including Carbon Bit and Millstone.
The new designs give the latest season a distinctly futuristic feel, with the update taking players toward what Nexon describes as the edge of the galaxy.
Six New Racers Join the Game
The Galaxy season isn't only about new vehicles.
Nexon has added six new racers to the roster:
- Lucas
- Sweet Corn Marid
- Tiger Cub Uni
- Starlight Fairy Naiad
- Star Keeper Bazzi
- Mechanical Girl Tiera
Four new pets have also been introduced, including the Pilot Bazzi flying pet and Mini Jack-O.
The new characters and pets give players additional options for customizing their racing experience.
New Tracks Bring the Galaxy Season to Life
Season 41 also expands the game's track selection.
The new Speed track Forgotten Memories of Sand is now available, while Frozen Brake, an Ice track playable in both Speed and Item modes, is scheduled to arrive on October 2.
That gives competitive players new environments to learn as they continue climbing the game's ranked system.
RushMerge Becomes Permanent
One of the more significant changes isn't a new kart or racer.
Nexon has made RushMerge permanent content following its popularity as a seasonal event. Players can continue using the feature to earn rewards such as Batteries and Lucky Star Jewels.
The change means RushMerge is no longer limited to a temporary seasonal appearance.
Main Lobby Gets a Major Redesign
Nexon has also redesigned the game's main lobby.
Players can now access Rushmoor Farms and RushMerge directly from the starting area, while the game's perk tabs have been moved to the right side of the screen.
Game modes and social features have also been reorganized by function, with the goal of making navigation easier.
Returning Players Get Extra Ranked Perks
The Galaxy update also introduces temporary benefits for returning players.
Returner Ranked Perks give returning players bonus points for up to four Ranked Mode races per day. The bonus applies regardless of whether a player completes the race or wins or loses it.
This could give returning racers a quicker way to get back into competitive play.
New Season Events and Rewards
Nexon is running several events alongside Season 41.
The Season 41 Missions event runs through November 11. Players can earn Season Coins, Black Hole Balloons and a permanent Meteor Engraving by completing activities such as logging in and participating in Ranked Mode.
The Season Exchange can then be used to trade Season Coins for additional rewards, including outfits and other in-game items.
A Favorite Racer Collection event runs from September 18 to 27, while the Mechanical Girl Tiera Stamp event begins October 2 and runs through November 1.
KartRider Rush+ Continues Its Seasonal Content
The Galaxy update arrives as KartRider Rush+ continues its long-running seasonal model, with Nexon regularly introducing new karts, racers, tracks and events.
With Season 41 now live, players have a new collection of space-themed content to work through, while permanent additions such as RushMerge give the update some longer-term value.
For mobile racing fans, the biggest question now is how Nexon will follow up the Galaxy season as Season 41 continues.
KartRider Rush+ Season 41: Galaxy is available now on iOS and Android.
