Grounded 2's Into the Abyss Update Adds Underwater Base Building
Grounded 2 has received its biggest update yet. Into the Abyss opens underwater areas, adds diving equipment and lets players build bases below the surface while dealing with new creatures and environmental threats.
The update also introduces the Toe Biter Buggy, an amphibious mount designed for movement on land and underwater. New tools, resources and survival systems expand the early-access sandbox beyond its original backyard routes.
The update is available across Xbox, Xbox PC, Steam and PlayStation 5. For Nigerian players, platform availability is broad, but the practical checks remain storage space, update size, data cost and whether every member of a co-op group has installed the same version before playing.
Players returning after a break should review their equipment and base locations before heading underwater. New environments can change which resources and preparation routes matter most, so treating the update as a simple cosmetic expansion may lead to a rough first dive.
