Faruk Manzo Qualifies for EA SPORTS FC 26 Esports Nations Cup

Update — 20 August 2026: Esports Foundation has postponed the inaugural Esports Nations Cup from November 2026 to November 2027 because of wider regional uncertainty. The previously listed 17–22 November 2026 EA SPORTS FC finals dates no longer apply. ENC says revised competition dates and qualification pathways will be announced in the coming weeks; it has not yet confirmed whether every previously secured qualification transfers unchanged to 2027.

Faruk Manzo earned one of the six African qualification places after the regional playoff concluded on 9 August. Faruk said the result followed a two-week bootcamp in Egypt, while Team Nigeria Esports described it as Nigeria's first international qualification in an EA SPORTS FC title.

The achievement remains an important Nigerian competitive-gaming milestone, but players, organisers and supporters should not book travel or publish new match schedules until ENC confirms the revised 2027 pathway. Questions now include roster eligibility, whether existing slots carry over and when new draws or qualifiers will take place.

Faruk has built his name through Nigeria's tournament circuit, international qualifiers and consistent EA FC content. His run shows what becomes possible when Nigerian players receive serious preparation, strong local competition and support to test themselves against Africa's best.

NairaGame will update this article again when ENC publishes the revised competition structure, draw and official broadcast information.
