Esports Nations Cup Moves to November 2027; Nigeria Awaits Revised Pathway
The inaugural Esports Nations Cup has moved from November 2026 to November 2027 after organisers cited wider regional uncertainty. Esports Foundation says existing commitments under the ENC Development Fund remain in place, while revised competition dates and qualification pathways will be announced in the coming weeks.
For Nigeria, the postponement makes the old November 2026 match dates, travel plans and broadcast timetable obsolete. Players, national teams, coaches and organisers should wait for the revised official calendar before booking travel or announcing preparation camps.
The change directly affects Nigeria's emerging ENC story, including Faruk Manzo's EA SPORTS FC qualification and the country's Mobile Legends: Bang Bang campaign. The organiser has not yet said whether every previously secured qualification will transfer unchanged to 2027, so that point should not be assumed until the new pathways are published.
The additional year could create more preparation time, but it also raises practical questions around roster eligibility, selection windows and future qualifiers. NairaGame will update its Nigerian qualification coverage when ENC confirms the revised structure.
