Start with Events and open the organiser's event details. Confirm the game, platform, date, time zone and whether matches are online or at a venue. Follow the organiser's official registration route; a news announcement or social-media repost is not proof that registration is still open.
Before forming a team or paying an entry fee, check age and location restrictions, team size, roster deadlines and any required account rank. Read the rules on controllers, disconnects, cheating, substitutions and reporting results. Ask the organiser to clarify anything missing and keep a copy of the rules you entered under.
Confirm entry fees, refund terms and prize eligibility directly with the organiser; a headline prize pool is not an individual payout guarantee. For online matches, test the required game version, connection and check-in process. For venue events, confirm the address and whether equipment is supplied. Keep your registration confirmation and organiser contact available on match day.
